On Thursday 20th May and Friday 21st May Guaruma presented a tourism workshop at the CEUTEC-UNITEC campus in La Ceiba. The workshop was organized by Guaruma and financed by the Rainforest Alliance.
The workshop’s main themes were natural and cultural heritage, conservation and sustainable tourism. Heritage-based tourism is a UNEP initiative that encourages creating tourism businesses that conserve cultural and environmental heritage while generating income and employment.
