Saturday, June 19th, Guaruma’s assistant director and photography instructor, Chris Poliquin, held a photography workshop at Centro Vocacional (Vocational Center) in La Ceiba with their students studying to become nature guides.
The workshop focused on camera operation and the use of cameras as a basic tool for nature guides. The students learned how to use the camera’s automatic modes and then had the chance to investigate the manual modes and functions. Afterwards, Chris offered them some suggestions on how to improve their portraits and macro-photographs. Then everyone practiced taking pictures around the vocational center.
Check out a gallery of additional images from the workshop. We hope to be able to collaborate with Centro Vocacional in the future.
