We are happy to announce that planting has begun in the Guaruma Herb and Vegetable Garden in Las Mangas.
In their environmental education classes the Jaguars have been organizing and building the garden for the past several weeks. They have created a design, selected species, and have built the beds in which their garden will grow. Currently the garden is planted with sweet peppers, radishes, and basil. We are growing two varieties of basil, one a local species common around Las Mangas, and imported Thai basil as well. In the weeks coming up the Jaguars hope to add rosemary, oregano, and mint to their garden.
We will be sure to keep the blog updated with tasty info rega
rding this new project at Guaruma!
